Applications are invited from eligible Indian candidates (Domicile/Non-Domicile of UT of J&K) for engagement as Senior Resident/Registrar/Tutor/Demonstrator/Field Demonstrator in various disciplines at Government Medical College, Udhampur. The appointments are purely on an Academic Arrangement basis under S.O. 364 dated 27.11.2020 for an initial period of 1 year, extendable up to 3 years based on satisfactory performance.

Available Departments and Eligibility

1. Anatomy:
   Candidates must hold an MBBS Degree from an institution recognized by the Medical Council of India (now known as the National Medical Commission).

2. Pharmacology:
   Candidates must possess an MBBS Degree from an institution recognized by the Medical Council of India (now known as the National Medical Commission).

3. Anaesthesia:
   Candidates must have a Post Graduate qualification (MD/MS/DNB/MDS) or higher qualification.

4. Forensic Medicine:
   Candidates must have a Post Graduate qualification (MD/MS/DNB/MDS) or higher qualification.

5. General Medicine:
   Candidates must have a Post Graduate qualification (MD/MS/DNB/MDS) or higher qualification.

6. General Surgery:
   Candidates must have a Post Graduate qualification (MD/MS/DNB/MDS) or higher qualification.

7. Paediatrics:
   Candidates must have a Post Graduate qualification (MD/MS/DNB/MDS) or higher qualification.

8. Radiodiagnosis:
   Candidates must have a Post Graduate qualification (MD/MS/DNB/MDS) or higher qualification.

Note: For Super Specialty posts, an MCh/DM/DNB is mandatory as per Government Order No. 282 JK (HME) of 2023 dated 04-04-2023 and Government Order No. 383 JK (HME) of 2024 dated 20-06-2024.

Important Information

1. Application Process:

   • Candidates must fill out the prescribed application form annexed to the notification.
   • Completed forms, along with self-attested documents and a non-refundable bank draft of ₹500 (in favor of Principal, Govt. Medical College, Udhampur, payable at J&K Bank), must be submitted to the office of the undersigned.

2. Submission Deadline:

   • Applications must be submitted by hand or by registered post on or before 24-12-2024, up to 4:00 PM.
   • Applications sent via any other mode or received after the deadline will not be entertained.

3. Age Limit:

   • Maximum age: 50 years (as on the cut-off date).
