Academic Arrangement Notification
Advertisement Notice No. 05 of 2024

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the positions of Senior Residents/Registrars/Tutors/Demonstrators in various departments of Government Medical College Handwara. These appointments are on an Academic Arrangement Basis under S.O. 364 of 2020 dated 27-11-2020, initially for a period of one (01) year, extendable up to three (03) years based on satisfactory performance as reported by the concerned Head of Department.

In-service candidates (PSC) may also apply, subject to the fulfillment of all prerequisites and submission of an NOC from their parent department as per the J&K Civil Service Rules 1979.

How to Apply

1. Application Form:
   The application form is available in the Downloads section of the official website www.gmchandwara.co.in.

2. Submission:
   Completed application forms, along with the required documents and a Demand Draft of ₹500 (pledged to the Chief Accounts Officer, Govt. Medical College Handwara), should be submitted to:
   Registrar Academics, Govt. Medical College Handwara.

3. Deadline:
   The last date for submission is 28-12-2024 (up to 3:00 PM).

Eligibility Requirements

• Educational Qualification:

  1. MBBS Degree and State/NMC Registration Certificate.
  2. MD/MS/DNB degree with additional qualification registration (State/NMC).
  3. Marks certificates for each year of MBBS.
  4. Higher Qualification Certificate (DM/MCh/DNB) if applicable.

• Additional Documents:

  1. Date of Birth Certificate.
  2. Domicile Certificate.
  3. An affidavit from a 1st-class magistrate confirming the candidate is not employed elsewhere.
  4. Service Certificate (for in-service candidates).
  5. NOC/Prior Permission from the Administrative Department (for in-service candidates).

Terms and Conditions

1. Full-Time Commitment: Candidates are not permitted to engage in private practice or other jobs.
2. Security Deposit: The first month's salary will be held as a security deposit and released after completing one year of service.
3. Tenure Agreement: Selected candidates must sign an agreement not to leave the department before completing their tenure.
4. Age Limit: Maximum age for applicants is 45 years as of the cut-off date.
5. Preference: Candidates with higher qualifications will be preferred.
6. Waiting List: A waiting list will remain valid for six months from the selection list's issue date.
7. Cancellation Clause: The Competent Authority reserves the right to amend or cancel the advertisement.
8. Final Decision: The selection authority’s decision will be final, and no appeals will be entertained.
